Why We Can't Offer Cash on Delivery (COD)

At Happiclap, we specialize in creating unique, personalized gifts. Each product is custom-made to your specific requirements, making it impossible to resell or reuse. We prioritize providing the best experience for our customers, but offering Cash on Delivery comes with challenges that can lead to losses for our business. Here’s why we have opted out of COD:

Customized Products Are Irreversible

Our collection includes customized gift products, uniquely crafted for each customer. If such an order is rejected or returned, it becomes unusable. Unlike general merchandise, personalized items cannot be resold, resulting in a complete loss for the business.

High Return Rates and Associated Costs

In India, an alarming 37% of COD orders are not accepted by customers and are returned to the seller without a valid reason. For us, this results in: Reverse shipping costs: Sending the product back to our warehouse. Cash handling expenses: Additional fees for cash processing. Transit damages: Products are often damaged beyond reuse. These costs add up to an incredible 40% additional expense on COD orders, which ultimately impacts product pricing and operational efficiency.

Building Trust and Transparency

We understand the hesitation to trust an online business with prepaid payments. To address this: Verified Payments: We partner with reputable payment gateways like Razorpay, Paytm to ensure your transactions are secure and protected. Positive Customer Reviews: We encourage you to check our reviews on Google and other platforms to see what our happy customers say about us. Registered Business: Happiclap is a registered business with address 4-3-175/B, Manikonda, Hyderabad, 500082 in India, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.

Promoting a Secure and Cashless Economy

We are committed to supporting India’s transition to a cashless economy. By offering secure online payment options, we ensure: Faster order processing and delivery. Multiple payment choices like Debit/Credit Cards, UPI, Net Banking, and Wallets. No hidden or additional costs, making prepaid orders more economical for our customers. Alternatives to COD: We understand that some customers may prefer COD for various reasons. Here are some alternatives you can consider: Prepaid Orders with Free Shipping: Enjoy free shipping on orders above a certain amount, saving you money and ensuring a smooth delivery process. Secure Online Payment Gateways: Our payment gateways offer secure and convenient ways to pay online. Gift Cards: Consider gifting a Happiclap gift card to someone, allowing them to choose their desired personalized gift with peace of mind. We're Committed to Happiclap: By focusing on online payments, we can keep our pricing competitive, improve operational efficiency, and ultimately, offer you a better overall Happiclap experience. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our friendly customer support team.
